Hello!

My name is Aubrie Hunter (she/her) and I am a fourth-year psychology major, and also completing a minor in education (hence my enrollment in this course). A career has always been in the back of my mind; however, my current area of passion is counselling psychology. I am hoping to pursue a career in counselling working with children, likely in the school setting!

Being an undergrad student who went into post-secondary right out of high school, I do not have much experience creating my lesson designs in the traditional sense that comes to mind.

However, I have coached competitive ringette for the past eight years, and I have loved every minute I’ve had working with youth! Developing practice plans and game strategies has challenged me and pushed me to develop an understanding of how important the universal design for learning is, which I have really appreciated. From my experience in sport, I have only gained respect for educators who work in a professional setting!
